DownloadThis regulation governs the composition and functioning of the Laboratory Practices Monitoring Committee (CAPLab), established by act of the Pro-Rector of Research and Postgraduate Studies – Ordinance No. 22/2009.
DownloadWith the objective of promoting good practices in teaching, research and extension activities, carried out in PUCRS laboratory environments, the Commission is made up of a collegiate body appointed by the Pro-Rector of Research and Graduate Studies and the Pro-Rector of Undergraduate Studies and Continuing Education.
The Commission arose from the need to establish parameters for the ethical and appropriate use of non-human animals in research at PUCRS. It is a multidisciplinary body with a normative, consultative, deliberative and educational nature.
The Commission aims to adapt research practices to ethical questions related to the process of planning, executing, evaluating and disseminating the results of research projects developed with human beings.
