On Wednesday (11), with the presence of authorities and special guests, PUCRS held the inauguration of a Benefactors Panel, a special tribute to those whose generosity and commitment have been essential to strengthening the University's Health Campus. The event took place at PUCRS São Lucas Hospital (HSL), where the panel is installed. The tribute includes members of society who made donations to HSL, InsCer and the Vila Fátima Health Unit.
The panel will feature prominent names and symbolizes the institution's gratitude to those who, with their valuable contributions, make advances in healthcare assistance, teaching and research possible – care that transforms lives.
During the inauguration, PUCRS's Director of Institutional Relations, Solimar Amaro, highlighted that the Hall of Benefactors is an extremely important landmark for the Health Campus. “This moment means much more than names engraved on a panel, it represents stories and gestures of solidarity for a greater purpose: caring for life and promoting health,” scored.

The rector of the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brother Evilázio Teixeira, highlighted that the mural celebrates the generosity and commitment of benefactors who, with open hearts and a sense of citizenship, have made a difference in the lives of all the patients welcomed.
“Each name represents not only a financial contribution, but a milestone of solidarity and appreciation. When we look at this hall, we are reminded that the true strength is the collaboration and unity of this institution that articulates assistance, teaching and research with agents of society. Our gratitude to all who, with altruism, help to build a healthy and welcoming future for our society”, completed.

For Oswaldo Balparda, general director of HSL, the moment was an opportunity to reaffirm the commitment to the Health area. “Being a philanthropic hospital that trains professionals is a mission that communities take on when they understand the need for care in society. Therefore, everyone present today at this tribute contributes to our continued mission and being part of this process of caring for the community.", said.

Representing the benefactors honored at the ceremony, journalist and former senator Lasier Martins expressed his feelings of gratitude for the moment. “We are part of this mission, because a hospital is an institution for everyone. PUCRS São Lucas Hospital has always been a welcoming place. It made an impression on me during the Covid-19 pandemic, when I was hospitalized here, and I have a special affection for the institution and the Marist mission. This union expresses everyone’s collaboration in helping those in need at a time of solidarity.”, finished.
