Lecture with SEMA-RS coordinator highlighted the role of science and climate governance in adaptation and resilience strategies in the face of climate change in the State.
The PUCRS Polytechnic School, through the Graduate Program in Materials Engineering and Technology (PGETEMA), promotes, on May 22nd, the lecture Confronting Climate Change in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, with Prof. Daniela Muller de Lara, coordinator of the Climate Advisory Board of SEMA-RS (Secretariat of Environment and Infrastructure of RS) and professor of the Graduate Program in Environment and Sustainability (Graduate ProgramAS/UERGS).
During the event, the main actions of the ProClima2050, state strategic agenda to tackle climate change. Highlights include the Climate Roadmap, or software EstimaGas, the strengthening of multilevel climate governance through municipal commissions, and the current ones climate adaptation and resilience strategies under development in RS.
The activity will offer an integrated view of advances in mitigation, environmental education e institutional innovation, highlighting the essential role of science and universities in the construction and application of environmental public policies.
