The sixth edition of the event took place on Tuesday afternoon, the 13th
Wednesday, May 14 | 2025Open Office, an initiative carried out through a partnership between PUCRS Carreiras and the PUCRS Science and Technology Park (Tecnopuc), reached its sixth edition on the afternoon of Tuesday, the 13th. The event, whose objective is to bring together talents and companies that are part of the University's innovation ecosystem, brought together 40 participants, including undergraduate and graduate students, as well as external audiences.
During the Open Office, participants were immersed in Tecnopuc and were able to get to know ten companies that are part of the Park up close: Able, Band, CMPC, Datum, Grupo Fourge, Grupo RPH, HP, Impinj, Instituto Eldorado and Uhuu!, both in conversations led by the leaders of these organizations and in visits to the offices of some of them.
“Open Office is very powerful because it offers a rare connection. On one side, an experienced manager; on the other, a young university student – who, even without knowing exactly where he wants to go, is curious and open to new possibilities. We thus create a privileged space for these encounters to happen”, highlights Júlia Bertolucci, from Tecnopuc’s Community team.
For students, it is an opportunity to learn more about the job market, clarify doubts, network and discover possibilities. “It is a great opportunity for us to talk to leaders and company managers. It is a very important event that opens many doors and allows us to get to know companies where, who knows, one day, we might work,” emphasize João Gabriel and Luigi, students of the PUCRS Administration course.
Amanda Martins traveled from São Paulo to Porto Alegre exclusively to participate in Open Office. A postgraduate student in People Management: Careers, Leadership and Coaching at PUCRS Online, she was attracted to the event because she has a genuine interest in career issues, which are part of her work as an HR Business Partner and her final project – focused on the careers of young professionals. She highlights that she left the event with a full heart and full of stories to tell.
“This type of direct contact with companies, the connections facilitated and the opportunities that really make sense are valuable. You can recognize them when you pay attention. It’s a real gem in the hands of a student!”, scores.
For companies, Open Office is an opportunity to get to know the University's talents, promote their employer brand and career opportunities within the organization. “Today, we saw several areas and segments, providing a guide for these students who already identify with an organization and, suddenly, in the same institution where they are studying, they can have an opportunity for both personal and professional growth,” says Cristiane Costa, HR coordinator at Grupo Bandeirantes RS.
In addition to the positive perception of the event by participants, the organizing team celebrated the holding of yet another edition.
“Our challenge, as organizers, is to handle the multiple connections that can be generated on that day: pitches to present solutions, guided tours to show the day-to-day running of companies and targeted meetings, in small groups, so that interested parties can ask questions directly to managers. And all of this happened yesterday, here at the Park.”, says Julia.
For Ana Cecília Petersen, consultant at PUCRS Carreiras, the sixth edition of Open Office reinforces how much this event has consolidated itself among our partners and companies.
“With each new edition, we seek improvements and we have already seen the concrete results of this joint effort between the Tecnopuc and PUCRS Carreiras teams, always focusing on the best experience for students. It was gratifying to see the engagement of talents, who were truly interested in connecting with companies. And we are already preparing new features for the next edition.”, complete.
The seventh edition of Open Office is scheduled for the second half of 2025. In addition, throughout the year, the public can follow the communication channels of Tecnopuc and PUCRS Carreiras to learn about opportunities to connect with projects and programs offered. Access the channels:
