17 postgraduate programs receive applications until June 30th
Tuesday, April 29 | 2025The selection process for admission to the PUCRS master's and doctorate programs in the second semester of 2025 is now open. Applications for 17 postgraduate programs have been extended and can be submitted until June 30, exclusively online.
PUCRS programs are recognized nationally and internationally for their flexible teaching model, expanding training through partnerships with foreign universities and an ecosystem that connects research with innovation and social impact – all of this in one of the best research infrastructures in the country. In addition, the programs have excellent professors who are references in their research areas.
Aware of international trends, PUCRS has adopted a new policy for the composition and use of credits in its stricto sensu Graduate Programs. The policy allows master's and doctoral students to use activities developed by them in the areas of innovation, social impact, internationalization and scientific production as academic credits. This initiative encourages and values experiences and the development of skills during master's and doctoral studies.
Master's and doctoral students will be able to apply for scholarships from funding agencies, such as the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and also from the University itself, through the Institutional Program for Encouragement of Stricto Sensu Graduate Studies (PRO-Stricto). To learn more, visit the site. Check the availability of scholarships, rules and requirements with the Secretariat of each Graduate Program.
Another facility offered by the University for those wishing to pursue a master's or doctorate degree is the PUCRS Educational Credit Program (Credpuc). With this option, students receive a 50% subsidy on the tuition fees, which are reimbursed by the student after the course is completed, for the same period of use. More information about Credpuc can be obtained from the University's Academic Finance Sector by phone (51) 3320-3588 or by email financeiro@pucrs.br.
