PUCRS was the most remembered and loved private university in Top of Mind RS and Love Brands RS, brand research done by TOMORROW Group. The University also leads the Top Porto Alegre in the Museum category, with the PUCRS Science and Technology Museum. The award ceremony, which took place yesterday (23), honored companies from Rio Grande do Sul in the categories of Products, Services, Communication, Corporate and Large Company/Brand of Rio Grande do Sul.
The rector of PUCRS, Brother Evilázio Teixeira celebrates the achievement and emphasizes that this result is part of the work carried out daily by employees, professors, students and the entire community.

We have built a diverse and plural University that, in addition to standing out for its excellent performance, manages to connect with the community in a genuine way.”, celebrate.
PUCRS Communications and Marketing Advisor Lidiane Lorenzoni represented the University at the award ceremony. For her, this recognition reinforces the importance of the PUCRS brand and the institution's connection with Rio Grande do Sul society.

We know that the excellence and consistency of PUCRS’s work in impactful areas such as education, research, health and culture are essential for us to be remembered. It is also important to highlight that values such as hospitality, proximity and accessibility – reflected in our Marist culture – are essential for us to be a beloved brand. Marcus Klein, director of the PUCRS Museum of Science and Technology, says that winning Top of Mind in the Museums category reinforces the MCT's continued growth.
“At the Museum, we are happy with this achievement and I believe that this memory is a reflection of the work we do at the MCT. The award also confirms the prestige that the residents of Porto Alegre have for the PUCRS Museum. And this reputation can also be seen in our numbers: in 2023, we had more than 276 thousand visits, including the traveling museum and visits by schools and the general public to our space on the PUCRS Campus.”, concludes Marcus.
The award Top of Mind The survey has been conducted since 1991 by Grupo Amanhã and its main objective is to capture spontaneous memories of brands/companies or products that are on the minds of the people of Rio Grande do Sul. Using a quantitative method, through the opinion poll technique, the research universe was made up of people of both sexes, aged between 16 and 75, from all social classes. The sample consisted of 1.200 (one thousand and two hundred) interviews distributed across the seven mesoregions of the state. This sample size guarantees the results a 95% confidence level for an error of up to 4%, either way.
Created in 1967 during the administration of Brother José Otão, the PUCRS Museum has been operating for over 50 years with the aim of preserving and disseminating knowledge through its collections and exhibitions. With traveling and long-term exhibitions, the museum receives daily visits from students and the public of all ages.
The space is always being renewed and, through new technologies, seeks to bring the public closer to exhibitions on the most diverse themes: archaeology, biodiversity, climate change, the universe, the human body.
In addition to being recognized as the most remembered Private University in RS in Top of Mind, PUCRS was also considered the best private university in the south of the country according to the Ministry of Education (MEC). The PUCRS Medicine course was evaluated by the international ranking Quacquarelli Symonds as the best among all private universities in the country.
