The stricto sensu graduate program is ideal for those seeking more in-depth and highly qualified training, which develops skills such as critical reasoning, theoretical and methodological depth and generates the production of original scientific knowledge with impact and relevance for the development of society.

We offer programs in various areas of knowledge with research lines connected to the main international trends. In addition to studying with renowned researchers, you have the opportunity to apply for scholarships and carry out international experiences during the program.

  • Master's program

    The master's degree course has a minimum of 18 (eighteen) credits to be completed. Its minimum duration is 12 (twelve) months and maximum duration is 24 (twenty-four) months.

  • Doctoral Program

    The doctoral course has a minimum of 30 (thirty) credits to be completed. Its minimum duration is 30 (thirty) months and maximum duration is 54 (fifty-four) months.

  • What is a Master's Degree at PUCRS?

    Postgraduate courses at Master's level are offered to candidates who have completed a higher education degree.
