FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Who can request the transfer?

    Undergraduate students regularly affiliated with other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) who wish to continue their studies at PUCRS may request a transfer. It is essential that the applicant proves, at the time of submitting the request, that they are affiliated with the HEI of origin.

  • Can I make the request after classes have started?

    Submission of the request on a date close to or after the start of classes in the first semester is permitted, provided that there are vacancies and the applicant is aware that, if the request is granted, some subjects may not have vacancies or there may be a loss of academic content due to the advancement of the semester.

  • Is there a cost for the transfer request?

    The process is free of charge, does not entail the immediate loss of the applicant's link with the HEI of origin and, if approved, does not oblige the applicant to enroll at PUCRS.

  • How do I request a transfer?

    The application must be submitted online by filling out a form. The required documentation must be submitted for analysis in digital format or in person by sending it to the Service Center of the Academic Registration Coordination, located at the PUCRS Student Service Center, on the ground floor of Living 360°.

    Requests and documents sent by physical mail to PUCRS will not be accepted.

    When submitting the request, in cases where it is impossible to send documents, there is no office hours, or there is an omission or incorrect information registered on the form, the applicant will receive a link via email to complete the missing or divergent documentation.

  • What is the deadline for responding to my request?

    The deadline for responding to the request after the valid protocol is approximately 7 (seven) business days. If the request does not meet all the requirements, the applicant will be notified by email, to make the necessary adjustments according to the instructions sent within 10 (ten) business days; if the request is not adjusted or there is no response from the applicant within the deadline, the request will be archived, as well as in the case of a withdrawal.

    The response to the approved application, as well as the indication of the benefits granted (if any), will be given only by email, through a message to the address that the applicant registered on the application form, indicating the necessary steps for enrollment.

    PUCRS is not responsible if messages sent to the applicant's email are marked as spam; therefore, in order to facilitate communication, it is recommended that the Junk Mail folder of the email account indicated by the applicant in the application submission form be checked.

    If rejected, the applicant will be notified by email, sent to the address registered on the application form, indicating the reason.

    The transfer is completed upon enrollment, at which point the student becomes affiliated with PUCRS.

  • What is the educational services provision contract?

    It is the instrument that regulates the relationship between the University and the student, establishing the rights and duties of both parties.
