The Federal Government's University for All Program (ProUni) is designed to grant full and partial scholarships for undergraduate courses. The Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul – PUCRS, has been a member of ProUni since its implementation in January 2005.
For ProUni students, as well as for other students, PUCRS has offered opportunities for employment contracts, internships, scientific initiation scholarships, participation in tutorial education programs and academic mobility programs.
The semester fee is divided into 6 (six) monthly payments, with the value of the first (M1) to be paid at the time of enrollment, calculated based on the average number of credits for the course or group of courses, and the balance divided into five equal installments (M).
The semester value of credit (c) is the same for all courses. In 2024, it is R$440,63.
PUCRS has different prices for some courses for advance payment of enrollment, according to the calendar published for each course, according to the due date of the payment slip.
In addition to specific discounts, there are also special conditions for companies that have an agreement with PUCRS, as well as groups of people who can register together and thus obtain the benefit.
The educational credit allows financing of up to 50% of the course installments, with a repayment period equivalent to the number of installments used.
Master's and doctoral students may apply for scholarships from funding agencies, such as the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES); the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), in full or partial form; and the Institutional Program for Support for Postgraduate Studies (PRO-Stricto).
The PUCRS Educational Credit Program (Credpuc) provides assistance of 50% of monthly fees, which are reimbursed by the student after the end of the course, for the same period of use.
Monthly payments are due on the 15th of each month, except for the first installment (upon admission or re-admission), which will be due according to the enrollment schedule. Students must pay the semester installment before enrolling.
