Theology is the science that studies the existence of God and His relationship with the world and society. In the PUCRS Theology course, you will learn about the fundamental principles of Theology, master theological content to communicate the experience of God, and develop your ability to participate in the exercise of theological reflection with seriousness and objectivity. Upon completion of the course, you will be able to work as a pastoral agent in communities, teaching the faith and bringing God ever closer to people's lives.
Our courses are designed to help you reflect critically on religious experience, engage in dialogue with other sciences, face the challenges of society, analyze religious phenomena in social and ecclesial transformations, seek the well-being of the community, work as a team, promote integration and always work based on Christian ethics. At PUCRS, you can also count on the support of the Pastoral and Solidarity Center, a space that works in an integrated manner with students to promote evangelization and faith.

The practice of Theology is directly linked to the reflection on how society behaves in relation to the Christian faith. In view of today's world, the practice of this faith becomes even more necessary. The Theology course at PUCRS prepares you to work in all areas of society, with critical and reflective intelligence about the problems of the world.

Our curriculum offers a multidisciplinary education in Theology and is based on the most contemporary concepts in the field. In addition to technical and theoretical subjects, during the course you will participate in several practical activities in partnership with other areas of the School of Humanities and will also have classes with professors who have different professional experiences.
