The Psychology course at PUCRS is a reference in Brazilian Psychology. Its foundation dates back to 1953, even before the regulation of Psychology as a profession, by law 4119/62. Its main objective is to train generalist psychologists, theoretically and technically grounded, to work in different sociocultural and professional scenarios, capable of understanding subjects and their subjectivation processes in a comprehensive way, committed to professional development, ethical action, social transformation and health promotion.
In this course, you will develop skills to understand human subjectivity in its complexity in a reflective and critical way. The curriculum is constantly updated to meet the needs of the training and is based on the theoretical, scientific, epistemological, cultural and contextual aspects that guide psychology. Throughout the course, students experience practical activities and, at the end of their training, they can count on skills focused on different fields of activity.
