Pedagogy is the science that studies the educational process and its methodologies, and is fundamental for the learning and development of children, young people and adults. The Pedagogy course at PUCRS prepares you to work in public and private schools for early childhood education and early years, daycare centers, NGOs, social movements and several other educational institutions and spaces. Graduates in Pedagogy are qualified to teach and monitor school progress, in addition to having training for research, with notions of educational process management and system organization in educational institutions. Here, you will experience the day-to-day life of the classroom from the first semesters, learning the profession in practice.
In addition to all the technical knowledge, which combines theory and practice, you will also develop skills and competencies that are fundamental for a complete professional capable of assuming an investigative, integrative and proactive stance when faced with challenges, always with the aim of overcoming any type of social exclusion and understanding the needs of each student.

The Pedagogy – Bachelor's Degree course has multidisciplinarity represented in its curriculum, which is organized based on mutual and collaborative learning. It is a course of excellence in teaching, based on critical and transformative propositions, with the Introduction to Teaching discipline, from the first semester of the course.
