Properly nourishing the body is one of the most important aspects of maintaining long-term health and preventing disease. With the rush and automation of simple daily tasks, eating properly often takes a back seat. Those who study Nutrition at PUCRS are prepared to help people seek well-being through food, as well as to face the challenges of today's society.
Our course trains generalist professionals, capable of performing various roles in the most diverse areas of the profession: collective nutrition, clinical nutrition, collective health, sports and physical activities, teaching and research. Future nutritionists will be able to work in restaurants, clinics, offices, hospitals, health units, gyms, clubs, schools, food industries, teaching and research institutions, as well as undertake business in the area of nutrition and food. Another important point to highlight is the comprehensive training that the university provides. In addition to all the technical and practical knowledge of the profession, the student will be able to develop and exercise fundamental skills and competencies, such as: autonomy, critical thinking, proactivity, resilience, ethics and commitment.
