Nursing is a very broad field. In addition to providing direct care to people, you can become a manager in healthcare institutions, opt for research and work as a teacher at various levels of education.
Nurses also have access to specialized areas such as: emergency care, pediatrics, obstetrics, cardiology, primary care, mental health, aesthetics, collection laboratories, imaging clinics, home care, blood banks and much more. In addition, when undertaking in today's world, nurses can work in offices, develop health products, provide consultancy, among many other activities.
In the PUCRS Nursing course, you connect with the main current topics: new technologies, entrepreneurship, management, aesthetics, critical care and much more.
PUCRS Nursing is the only private course in the South of the country with international Arcu-sul accreditation and top score in Enade. It also has a high validation rate abroad, such as in the United States and Canada.
Experience your training in the largest and most technological health and well-being complex in the country, experiencing the profession from an early age in a university hospital – Hospital São Lucas da PUCRS, basic health unit, sports complex, rehabilitation center and much more.
You will have access to several partner institutions to experience the profession in practice, including Rede Divina Providência, Grupo Hospitalar Conceição, Hospital de Pronto Socorro and Hospital Materno Infantil Presidente Vargas, in addition to other services from the Porto Alegre Public Health Network.
Students can attend learning spaces that promote the development of practical activities that complement the theory developed in the classroom, thus preparing them to face the market.
To train professionals capable of keeping up with world developments, the course is even more connected with the main current themes, such as: new technologies, entrepreneurship, management, aesthetics and much more.
The curriculum also includes two mandatory supervised internships to gain professional experience during training, in addition to many practical activities in the clinical simulation laboratory and in real environments for you to experience different healthcare scenarios and contexts.
