Computer science has changed the way we see the world. The Turing Machine, created by mathematician Alan Turing, is a great example of this: even before digital computers existed, it became a milestone in history. If you like programming and automation, this is the place for you. The Computer Science course at PUCRS prepares you to perform various activities, ranging from solving complex problems to developing games. The course subjects cover the most important areas of information technology, qualifying students to work in various niches of the software industry, such as project managers, test analysts, software developers, data scientists, entrepreneurs, among others.
Our course is designed to develop well-rounded professionals, both in terms of technical and behavioral skills. With a multidisciplinary curriculum, you will have the opportunity to study subjects in the humanities, for example, which will be fundamental for an education that focuses on ethics and the well-being of society.

Our curriculum supports a multidisciplinary education in Computer Science and is based on the most contemporary teaching concepts. In addition to subjects on innovation and integrated work, during the course you will participate in several practical activities in partnership with other areas, such as humanities and communication, and will also have classes with professors who have different market experiences.
