KNOW THE COURSE

Admiring life in all its forms is a great place to start for anyone thinking about studying biology, as this is the science that studies living beings and their interactions with the environment. In the Biological Sciences – Bachelor's Degree course at PUCRS, you will learn about the diversity, evolution and systems of animals, plants, fungi and microorganisms, combining classroom theory with practical experience in laboratories and field activities. Our course is comprehensive: in addition to all the theoretical knowledge, you will receive pedagogical training and classroom contact from the first semesters.

In addition to technical knowledge, other skills and competencies are also developed in the course. Here, we train professionals capable of solving problems in a critical and reflective manner, who master new technologies and keep up with social changes, always aiming at the conservation of biodiversity and socio-environmental sustainability. We train teachers who value shared knowledge, who love what they do and who transform the lives of thousands of people through education.
