Founded in 1993 with the goal of training civilian pilots to an international level of excellence, the PUCRS Aeronautical Sciences Program was a pioneer in Latin America. Since its foundation, it has sought to align itself with the growing and dynamic demands of the job market, adjusting its educational proposal and teaching staff to bring the best standards of the global aeronautical industry to its students. This effort has resulted in highly qualified professionals who are now references in different companies and continents.
In addition to piloting, which is covered in the course in a way that integrates theory and practice (curriculum of flights in real aircraft and simulators), our course develops skills in communication in English and Portuguese, emotional intelligence, organizational management, leadership, decision-making, risk management and safety, among others.
Although the main area of activity for graduates of the course is in the role of commanders and co-pilots of large aircraft on scheduled airlines, the Bachelor's degree also opens doors to other niches in aviation, such as aviation schools, flight administration/operations, flight safety/operational regulatory agencies and executive/corporate aviation.
