SOS RS

In addition to our emergency response to the floods in RS, we continue to work alongside the people of Rio Grande do Sul in rebuilding the state.

Together We Make It Happen

PUCRS’ positive impact on the world has no borders. But it does have an origin. The RS in our name is the world around us.

The world that asks for answers has come knocking on our door. And our people are here to respond.

Our researchers, teachers, students, professionals, volunteers and many other professionals are Today minds and hands in action for Rio Grande.

Together we are making a series of initiatives happen, generating shelter, advice, help, prevention, information and much more.

After all, that's what this entire structure and all this human potential are for.

To make it happen. To generate a positive impact on the world.

And, more than ever, that world starts here.

More than a university, a welcome that embraces the world.

In the context of the public calamity that struck Rio Grande do Sul, we put into practice with all our strength one of our main values: solidarity. The video below illustrates how it all began. These were some of the main actions carried out by PUCRS and the University Community during the emergency period, in which we dedicated ourselves to welcoming and providing comprehensive and humane care to people severely affected by the floods. Now, we move forward together towards a new moment: the recovery and reconstruction of our State, supporting the people of Rio Grande do Sul through different initiatives.
